Meet Monique

Not once did I ever consider dropping out of school. Graduating from high school and college will open up doors for me. I can only imagine what opportunities will come my way because of my education. My name's Monique and I'm a 330 Ambassador.

I'm really fortunate to be a part of this program. The Ambassadors were selected by the LeBron James Family Foundation to work with the Akron after-school program and serve as positive role models and mentors for the Wheels for Education class of 2021. 330 is the Akron area code and all of the ambassadors are from the Akron school district.

My mom is my inspiration; she motivates me to work hard and take it to the next level. Because of her I know I will graduate from college and make it. I'm attending the University of Akron and I will have a degree in respiratory therapy when I finish.

Being an Ambassador, I've learned more about myself in the process and I really enjoy motivating others and impacting their lives. And it's rewarding to represent my community, LeBron and 26 Seconds. We all need an education; it's our most powerful possession. Get an education; get new opportunities; BMOR than a statistic.
